Pete Wentz explains pregnancy denials

Pete Wentz sent an email to MTV News explaining why he denied his new wife, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, is pregnant. Just last month the Fall Out Boy musician denied the swirling rumors, but later the couple just refused to answer questions regarding an impending child.

The couple recently confirmed to FriendsOrEnemies.com that they are, indeed, expecting a baby, and they had wanted to wait until after the first trimester to confirm the news.

In the May 29 email, Wentz wrote: "Every woman, no matter who they are or what they do for a living, has the right to wait at least 3 months before sharing this very personal news. We wanted to wait until after the first trimester and get a clean bill of health from our doctors before confirming anything, just like any other couple."

Wentz said he was at a loss as to how to address the rumors and media attention. "Being a boy I have no idea how to respond to such things and my first instinct was to protect her and the baby."

"It's insane that you can't let happy news brew in Hollywood. This wasn't about press or anything. It was about the health of the baby and trying to find a way to be happy with what should be the most happy time of our lives in the middle of a press blitz," he said.

And while Wentz did apologize for lying to MTV News last month, he said his main concern is the baby.

"I apologize to anyone who felt misinformed but the truth is, the person and growing baby is who I felt most loyal to protect and defend."

Charlie Sheen marries again

Two and a Half Men's Charlie Sheen, 42, and real estate investor Brooke Mueller, 30, wed Friday in Los Angeles.

Approximately 60 guests were in attendance at the ceremony, held at a private estate in Beverly Park, including Sheen's two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards. Sheen's father, Martin Sheen, was also present, as were Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart, who introduced the pair in 2006.

"They're well matched and incredibly happy," a friend of the couple said.

The affair was low-key, as per Sheen's request, and the bride wore a simple Reem Acra gown.

"Brooke really wanted to walk down the aisle in a big way, but Charlie insisted they keep it simple and small," a source said.

But Mueller's $500,000, 11-carat ring provided plenty of dazzle. Sheen gave her the ring when he propopsed last July during a trip to Costa Rica.

"It is a canary-yellow, flawless diamond," jeweler Lord Alon Barak, the designer of the ring, told E! "Charlie really went above and beyond."

This is the third wedding for Sheen. He was previously married to Donna Peele and Richards and was engaged to Kelly Preston. He has three children, two with Richards and one with former girlfriend Paula Profit. It is the first marriage for Mueller.

Lilo goes to ER for asthma attack

Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina, informed People that her daughter went to the emergency room Thursday evening due to an asthma attack, despite statements from the actress' rep on Friday that she was visiting a friend in the hospital.

"She was losing oxygen. She couldn't breathe," Dina Lohan said.

"She was afraid to go the hospital because [the paparazzi] were gonna write about it. She was sick," she added. "If you were sick, and you're mother couldn't even take you to a hospital because paparazzi will fabricate some story, you know, it's sad. It's really sad."

Paparazzi had photographed 21-year-old Lindsay and her rumored girlfriend, DJ Samantha Ronson, going to the emergency room.

Dina Lohan said her daughter was lucky Ronson was there. "Samantha is an angel," she said.

Brangelina did not have twins yet

Representatives for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie denied reports that the couple's twins have been born.

"Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France," a rep for Jolie told People.

Brad Pitt's L.A.-based talent manager, Cynthia Pett-Dante, issued a statement to Reuters denying the reports, as well. "It's not true. It's a rumor," she said.

Entertainment Tonight was the first to announce the story that Angelina had given birth. Their web site posted the following at 8:16 a.m. PDT Friday: "Just this morning a source who says she was inside the delivery room tells ET yes, the babies were born and yes, mother and babies are fine!"

According to MSNBC News Service, "Entertainment Tonight" continues to stand by their report, as of 5:34 p.m. ET Friday.

A British publication, NOW Magazine, also reported that the twins had arrived and were named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane.

Numerous other sites have stepped up to deny the reports, including People, E! and US Weekly.

Although France has strict privacy laws regarding health matters, officials at the Etoile Maternite Catholique de Provence in Aix-en-Provence, one of southern France's top maternity clinics, said that Jolie had not been there. Town hall officials said that although they were aware of the media reports, they did not know if they were true.

Locals, including the mayor and an inn owner, confirmed that the couple recently moved to southern France, where they just bought a $60 million estate.

It will be just one in a number of festivals Winehouse plans to attend this summer, as she tries to bring attention back to her music.

"[Jake] knows he might be jumping the gun thinking of kids, but he knows that Reese is the one," a friend of the actor told OK! "He laughs and says he needs to propose and do this the right way. It really is first comes love, then comes marriage — cheesy as that sounds, it's the way he thinks!"

According to the magazine, Gyllenhaal has grown so fond of Witherspoon's children with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, 8-year-old Ava and 4-year-old Deacon, that he wants to have his own kids with the actress.

Spears unfit for court

L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz has decided that Britney Spears is still unable to participate "in any meaningful way" in ongoing court proceedings regarding her conservatorship case.

Spears' court-appointed attorney, Samuel Ingham, and attorney's for her father and conservator, Jamie Spears, met with Goetz Thursday to discuss the situation.

After the private, 90-minute meeting, Goetz said Spears' doctor had made a "differential dianosis" and "wants to do additional testing in the not-too-distant future – something we will need to address in June."

Ingham called Spears' medical condition "fluid" since her treatment is changing.

For the time being, though, Spears is unable to participate in the "litigation process or in discovery proceedings," Goetz said.

Jamie Spears and another lawyer have been the singer's conservators for four months.

In other news about the popwreck, several sources have said that Spears is in talks to star in the Broadway musical 'Grease' following the success of her stint on 'How I Met Your Mother.'

"The producers were bouncing around the idea of casting Britney in the role of Sandy," a source told the British newspaper Metro. "They're recasting the roles in July and they thought that Britney looked like a Sandy. She would be terrific."

Nicole Kidman denies nude photo shoot

Nicole Kidman has laughed off rumors that she posed for a pregnant, nude photo shoot a la Demi Moore and Britney Spears.

The actress, who is reportedly expecting a boy this summer with husband Keith Urban, said that while she did take part in a photo shoot with legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the idea that it was nude was "hilarious" and "total nonsense."

"total nonsense. It was not that kind of a shoot," Kidman told the Daily Mail. "It's madness to think I did that or was even asked to do that. I'm just looking forward to having and caring for our baby."

Demi Moore posed while pregnant for the cover of Vanity Fair in 1991, and Britney Spears did the same for Harper's Bazaar in 2006.

Harvey Korman passes away

Four-time Emmy-winning actor and comedian Harvey Korman passed away today at the age of 81.

Korman, known for his contributions to "The Carol Burnett Show" and the film "Blazing Saddles," died at UCLA Medical Center due to complications from an aortic aneurysm he suffered four months ago.

In a family statement released by the hospital, his daughter, Kate Korman, said it was a "miracle" her father had survived the aneurysm at all and that he also underwent several major surgeries.

"Tragically, after such a hard fought battle he passed away," she said in the statement.

Korman first came onto the scene on "The Danny Kaye Show" from 1964-1967. He was also a cast member on "The Carol Burnet Show," and he and Burnett paired up to perform burlesque versions of classic movies and soap operas.

According to Burnett's assistant, Angie Horejsi, the actress and comedian was devastated by the news of Korman's death.

"She loved Harvey very much," Horejsi said, noting that Burnett had not yet released a statement.

Korman is survived by his wife and four children.

Clay Aiken is going to be a daddy!!!!!

Celebrity blog TMZ has learned that Clay Aiken is going to be a dad. In case you didn't get that, CLAY AIKEN IS GOING TO BE A DAD.

Here is what the site knows. Multiple sources tell them that the momma to be is Jaymes Foster, a record producer and Clay's BFF. He stays at her house when he goes to L.A.

They were told that Foster, who produced several of Clay's CDs, is due to have the baby in August. She is the sister of record mogul David Foster. They were told that she is quite a bit older (late 40's), though they can't confirm her exact age. She got divorced a few years back and has no children. Aiken is 29.

They're told that Foster is pregnant by the means of artificial insemination. But Clay is a lot more than just a sperm-- apparently he will have a very active role in raising the child.

There was no immediate word from Aiken's rep.

Sharon Stone feels the hurt...

Sharon Stone is definitely feeling the hurt from the backlash of her comments made about China. Hard. And it's where it hurts the most...

Her bank account obviously!

Upscale French fashion house Christian Dior has just removed all of their ads featuring Stone from China due to what she said about the earthquake happening because of bad karma.

Stone had ads in the Dior cosmetics collection, which were displayed in all different parts of China.

In a recent statement, Christian Dior China stated, "In light of the negative reaction that Sharon Stone's inappropriate remarks have triggered, Dior China has decided to immediately cancel and stop any advertisements, marketing campaigns and commercial activities associated with Sharon Stone. We don't agree with her hasty, unreflecting remarks and we deeply regret them. We just want our customers and fans to realize that her personal comments are not related to the company and of course we don't support any type of commentary that will hurt the feelings of our customers."

It continues, "Dior was one of the first international brands to enter China and has won the affection and respect of the consuming public. We absolutely do not support any remark that hurts the Chinese people's feelings. We express our sorrow over the compatriots who lost their lives in the earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan, and we extend our sympathy and condolences to the people in the disaster area."

Stone has continued her apologies, being quoted by the Beijing news as saying, "In the course of the interview I made inappropriate remarks and for any harm created towards the Chinese people I am extremely sad and apologize."

A spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry, Qin Gang, said in a news conference, "We hope that as an American actress she can contribute to our two people's trust, understanding and friendship."

Maybe next time Stone is in China, she should hire some sort of security.

Just a thought.

Bill Murray's marriage is over

Bill Murray's wife of nearly 11 years, 42-year-old Jennifer Butler Murray, has sued for divorce in the state of South Carolina, where she resides with their four children.

She has asked that her marriage to the 57-year-old Oscar-nominee be dissolved due to his drug addiction, physical abuse, adultery and abandonment, People has stated according to divorce papers she filed May 12 in Charleston County. She has also asked that a restraing order be placed against the actor.

While the papers do not include specifics of Murray's drug use, they do allege that he often left without telling his wife to "travel[s] overseas where he engages in public and private altercations and sexual liaisons."

According to the Associated Press, the documents also say that last November, Murray "hit [his wife] in the face and then told her she was 'lucky he didn't kill her.'"

The divorce papers, which were initially obtained by The Post and Courier of Charleston, have since been sealed by the court.

John McDougall, attorney for Bill Murray, refused to comment on the allegations, but he did say the actor "is deeply saddened by the breakup of his marriage."

"He and his wife made loving parents and they are committed to the best interests of their children," McDougall added.

Jennifer Murray's attorney refused to comment.

The couple had signed a prenuptial agreement prior to their 1997 marriage. It was included as an exhibit with the divorce papers. The agreement stipulated that both parties would waive their right to alimony or support in the case of a divorce, but that Murray would pay his wife $7 million within 60 days of the finalization.

Bill Murray received an Oscar nomination for the film "Lost in Translation," and he also starred in "Ghostbusters," "Caddyshack" and "Groundhog Day."

Baby Confirmation!

It's confirmed... like we needed it... Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz are expecting a bundle of joy.

The newlyweds confirmed it this evening. Ashlee said that she wanted to wait until after the first trimester to report the happy news.

"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child," the couple wrote on the site FriendsOrEnemies.com. "This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

More racy Miley Cyrus pics

Disney star Miley Cyrus has not been able to keep her nose clean for long. More racy pictures of the 15-year-old teen icon have been making the rounds online. This time Miley is seen holding up her t-shirt and showing her bra, and also revealing lacy, red underwear.

Reports have stated that Cyrus sent the photos to former boyfriend Nick Jonas, who she was dating at the time.

The 'Hannah Montana' actress' father and co-star, Billy Ray, said his daughter will bounce back from the photo scandals despite the outrage because she is a positive person and is "too upbeat to stay down for long."

"The thing you got to look at in life, whether you're an entertainer or whether you're a farmer... whatever you do in life, there's going to be peaks and valleys. I think one of the things my dad taught me and hopefully I instilled in Miley, is that when you get knocked down, you got to get back up because it's not going to do any good to lie on the ground and cry about it," Billy Ray Cyrus said. I think she has a lot to be proud of. I think the positive far outweighs the negative."

But that isn't all the controversy for the teen queen. The Los Angeles-based rock band Lustra has accused Cyrus of plagiarizing and invited her to an onstage showdown.

Lustra claims Cyrus's "Rock Star" is an exact copy of their song "Scotty Doesn't Know," which was on the soundtrack for the 2004 film Europtrip.

But the band decided to deal with the situation outside of the courtroom. They invited Cyrus to perform her song at L.A.'s Viper Room on Thursday to let fans decide if the songs are the same.

"Lustra would play their song 'Scotty Doesn't Know,' followed by Ms. Cyrus' 'Rockstar,' and then let their fans decide," the group's spokesman was quoted on Contactmusic.com.

But the band also has another idea for repayment.

"Another way to rectify this is to have Lustra appear on 'Hannah Montana' as themselves," the spokesman added. "Lustra could appear on the show as Hannah's musical influence."

"We could share even more of our songs with Ms. Cyrus, just as long as we get credit for it, which is what we have wanted all along," said Lustra guitarist Nick Cloutman.

Is George Clooney single?

According to reports, George Clooney, 47, and his girlfriend of nearly a year, 29-year-old Sarah Larson, have ended their relationship.

"I do not comment on George's personal life," said Clooney's rep, Stan Rosenfield. But sources told In Touch Weekly and People that the two had called it quits.

"George is relieved to be single again," an anonymous source told In Touch, which was first to break the news. "He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her."

The two reportedly met when Clooney was celebrating his birthday at the Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas several years ago. Larson was a Vegas cocktail waitress and go-go dancer at the time. They started dating when Clooney returned to Vegas for the premiere of "Ocean's Thirteen" last June.

The insider told In Touch that it was their vastly different backgrounds that contributed to their decision to break up: "The truth is that they had little in common and he just doesn't want to be tied down," the source said.

Gary Dourdan makes plea deal, avoids jail

Former 'CSI' star Gary Dourdan, 41, pled guilty to two out of his three counts of felony drug possession - one count each of Ecstasy and cocaine possession, and one count of heroin possession was dismissed - this morning, but he avoided having to serve any jail time.

"Once Gary completes 30 hours of a diversion program, his case will be entirely dismissed," lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley told The Associated Press in an e-mail. "There is no jail time involved."

Although the actor faced up to three years and eight months in prison, he will only have to complete the court's diversion program, which entails the completion of a series of drug-education courses. He has until Nov. 20, 2009 to finish his part of the plea agreement, and then the convictions may be dismissed.

"As a result of today's proceedings, Gary has been given diversion," Holly said outside the courthouse. "He very much regrets what happened, and he's very embarrassed by what occurred, but he's looking forward to moving on and getting back to work.

"He is very grateful to the court for being understanding and giving him an opportunity to resolve the issue and move forward."

Ingrid Wyatt, spokeswoman for the Riverside District Attorney's office, told E! News that Dourdan will also have to pay a small fee as part of his restitution.

Dourdan was present for the Indio, Calif. hearing, although he did not speak to reporters. He was arrested April 28 in Palm Springs after police found him sleeping in his car, which was parked on the wrong side of the road with the interior light on.

The actor was charged with felony possession of heroin, cocaie and Ecstasy following a search of his vehicle, and he was released on $5,000 bail. Shortly thereafter, Dourdan denied the drugs were his.

The long-time 'CSI' star also opted not to renew his contract for the popular show. His character, Warrick Brown, was killed on the season finale.

Sharon Stone angers Chinese media, Rachael Ray ad upsets Arabs

Sharon Stone's films may be boycotted in China following comments she made last week at the Festival de Cannes regarding China's recent natural disaster that killed more than 65,000 people and left 5 million homeless.

"I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else," Stone said in a red-carpet interview with Cable Entertainment News of Hong Kong. "And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, is that karma? When you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?"

Stone was a guest last year at the Shanghai International Film Festival, but her recent remarks angered Chinese media.

Ng See-Yuen, the founder of one of China's biggest urban cinema chains, called Stone's comments "inappropriate" and said his company would boycott all of the actress' films.

Stone has several films coming out this year.

However, the Chinese media did not latch onto another remark Stone made during the French film festival. She said she cried when she received a letter from the Tibetan Foundation asking her to help victims of the natural disaster.

"Sometimes you have to learn to put your head down and be of service, even to people who aren't nice to you. That's a big lesson for me," Stone said.

But Stone isn't the only celebrity who's made an international relations faux pas recently.

According to The Boston Globe, Dunkin' Donuts has decided to pull a TV commercial featuring Rachael Ray wearing what looks like a keffiyeh.

Fox News commentator and conservative columnist Michelle Malkin was the first to notice Ray's garb. She wrote on her blog:

"The keffiyeh, for the clueless, is the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant and not-so-ignorant fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons."

Although Dunkin' Donuts initially ignored the complaints and rumors of a boycott, they eventually chose to pull the ad.

"In a recent online ad, Rachael Ray is wearing a black-and-white silk scarf with a paisley design. It was selected by her stylist for the advertising shoot," the chain wrote in a statement via The Globe. "Absolutely no symbolism was intended. However, given the possibility of misperception, we are no longer using the commercial."

Jessica Simpson's new single

Jessica Simpson's new single, "Come on Over," from her upcoming country music album was leaked over the Internet.

The 27-year-old talked to Billboard about recording the album, and said she is inspired by Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Reba McEntire.

"I think there is a strength in female country artists," she added.

She said that she is a country girl and longtime fan of the genre.

"I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to," she said. "I always wanted to make a country album, but I wanted to wait until the time was right."

Ashlee Simpson changes name

Ashlee Simpson has decided to change her name to Ashlee Wentz in honor of her recent wedding to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, People reported.

"I think that that's something that a woman should do when they're marrying a man," the singer told People. "It's a tradition that I think is a great tradition."

She said that while she'll go by Ashlee Wentz in her personal life, professionally she'll be Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

Her new husband said that he let Ashlee choose which name she would go by.

"These decisions with Ashlee and her name are all completely up to Ashlee," Wentz said. "I want her to do these kinds of things the way she wants to do them."

But he did say he was flattered by her decision to take his name.

"Oh man, I was like upgrade me! You know what I'm saying? The Wentz family, our Christmas card just got upgraded!" he added. "It feels insane. It feels unreal."

Spider-Man news circulating on the web - Tobey Macguire is getting too old, and I don't think he can sing.

Tobey Maguire is going to be 35-36 years old by the time a fourth Spider-Man film could be released in 2011. As a character Spider-Man has to be a 18,19 year old kid. Superman is always 29, Batman is always 27.
There are rules, because without rules there would be chaos!
So, Sony is probably looking to reboot the series with a new cast.
It will be hard to replace J.K. Simmons as J.Jonah Jameson, I think Elizabeth Banks made the perfect Betty Brant.

Kirsten Dunst, at Almost 30, will be too old for our teenage hero's love interest.

But Spider-Fans could be seeing the webslinger on Broadway by 2009.
Lion King's Julie Taymor is confirmed as director and Bono and The Edge have completed the musical score.

Marvel execs have seen the initial show and loved it.

Kirsten Dunst talks about rehab

Kirstin Dunst opened up to E! Online's Marc Malkin about her February trip to Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah.

"I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse," Dunst said during filming for her new movie, All Good Things. "I went there for depression."

At the time, the actress's partying and drinking habits were topics of debate and tabloid fodder.

"She does drink and she does have wild nights, but that was never the root of her issues," a source close to Dunst told People. "She couldn't control her depression."

The 26-year-old actress said it was ultimately her decision to seek treatment, although she did receive advice from doctors, friends and family.

"It was a good six months before I decided to go away," she said. "I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too. But I didn't know where to go. My doctor recommended Cirque Lodge."

Dunst said she decided to reveal the information because of the speculation and negative press she has received.

"There's been a lot of misrepresentation about what is going on in my life, and it's been very painful for my friends and family," she said. "Everyone feels like they have to defend me. They hear the rumors, and it puts them in a defensive position. Now that I'm feeling stronger, I was prepared to say something."

She also said that depression can affect anyone, even wealthy starlets. Dunst has been acting since 1989 and has received media attention since 1994's Interview with the Vampire with Tom Cruise.

"We're all in the same boat together," Dunst said about people suffering from mental illness. "Depression is pretty serious and should not be gossiped about."

'Idol' reject disses show

'American Idol' contestant Josiah Leming, who was eliminated during the Hollywood Round and so did not make the Top 24, talked to MTV News about his opinions on the popular reality show.

The 19-year-old, who was living out of his car when he auditioned for the show, recently inked a record deal.

"I signed my deal with Warner Bros. about a month and a half ago, and I'm glad to finally announce it. The songs are written, the arrangements are done, and right now it's time to work with the producers," he told MTV News. "I'm so excited. I'm just beaming inside right now. Since I signed the deal, it's been a lot of wait, wait, wait. Now it's finally come. I'm in this awesome studio, working on songs... It's amazing. This is everything I ever wanted."

But Leming also had a few choice words about 'American Idol.'

"The fact is, it's like glorified karaoke," he said.

"[Producers] pick these good-looking people with voices, and they have them sing these songs that other people have written," he added. "And therefore, it lacks passion, it lacks emotion and it lacks the things that set an artist off from being good to being great. So that's my feeling on it."

But Leming acknowledged that the reality show kick-started his career.

"As everyone clearly saw, I poured my heart and soul into the process and into the competition," he said. "But looking back now, things could not have gone any better. Things happened perfect. I got the exposure... People liked me, which was amazing, and I love my fans more than anything. I'm happy I didn't make it. Looking back, it couldn't have gone any better.

Also an occasional actor, Pollack's career reached its apex during the 1970s and 1980s. He achieved success with his gender-bending film "Tootsie" and the period drama "Out of Africa," and worked with some of Hollywood's best actors, including George Clooney.

He also played Will's father on "Will & Grace" and made appearances on "The Sopranos," "Frasier" and "Mad About You."

Jolie-Pitts buy $60 million French estate

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have put down roots in the south of France. The wandering couple, who has four children and twins on the way, reportedly bought a $60 million estate that takes up 1,000 acres and includes 35 bedrooms, a vineyard, lake, forest and a moat.

Although reps for the duo have yet to comment, an insider confirmed the purchase to E! News.

"It's called Chateau Miraval in a village called Brignol, which is near from Aix-en-Provence," the source said. "And it's absolutely unbelievable."

"Brad and Angelina are thrilled, they love the place and have already been furniture shopping to fill the place as it's massive...The whole family can't wait to move in."

Apparently the sprawling estate features stone-walled terraces with 13 varieties of olives, 20 fountains, aqueducts and a stream that traverses through hidden tunnels and leads to the lake.

The source said that the Jolie-Pitts will have privacy in their new home, as it is surrounded by forests. Although ponies and goats graze in nearby fields, paparazzi should not be able to take pictures of the growing brood.

The family hopes to move within the next several months, but since their April arrival in France, they have been staying in a villa in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat that belongs to Paul Allen, cofounder of Microsoft. He is a friend of Jolie, who met him while filming 2004's Shark Tale.

Pitt and Jolie had been searching for a house in the area for the past year. Other famous residents are U2 frontman Bono, whom the couple recently visited, and Johnny Depp and his partner Vanessa Paradis.

Indy delivers big, angers Russian communists

'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' met expectations, accounting for nearly 60 percent of the holiday weekend ticket sales. The film grossed $101 million from Friday to Sunday, and $126.1 million from Friday to Monday. Including its Thursday debut of $25 million, the movie delivered $151.1 million in the first five days, Exhibitor Realtions Co. announced.

Although the film did not set any records or meet the highest projections of a $175 million debut, it did surpass all but four other movies in ticket sales in its first 120 hours in theaters.

'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' ranks 10th in three-day weekend openings, just ahead of the recently released 'Iron Man,' according to Box Office Mojo. It is seventh in the annals of four-day Memorial Day weekend debuts.

However, not everyone is rushing to theaters to see the film. According to news reports, members of Russia's Communist party have called for the movie to be banned throughout the country.

In the film, Cate Blanchett plays the leader of a Russian communist organziation that is in the United States in 1957. Present day Russian Communist party members claim the movie inaccurately portrays the party during that time period, and have said it will provide youngsters an inaccurate view of history. They have said the movie needs to be banned to prevent "ideological sabotage."

"Our movie-goers are teenagers who are completely unaware of what happened in 1957. They will go to the cinema and will be sure that in 1957 we made trouble for the United States and almost started a nuclear war," Communist party chief Sergei Malinkovich said. "It's rubbish. In 1957 the Communist party did not run with crystal skulls throughout the US. Why should we agree to that sort of lie and let the West trick our youth?"

Laugh-In's Dick Martin has passed away

Dick Martin, the former co-host of the ground-breaking comedy show “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-in,” died on Saturday at the age of eighty-six from respiratory complications.

Martin and Rowan, the Laugh-In comedy Duo, met in 1952 and worked up the night-club circuits before making it to television. Martin described their earlier acts as “raw” but “funny,” and their popular TV show lasted from 1968 to 1973. The pair continued to do performance until 1977 when the parted amicably.

Martin, who is responsible for coining the phrase “Sock it to me,” went on to become a successful director, taking part in television shows such as “In the Heat of the Night,” “Archie Bunker’s Place,” and “Family Ties.”

As a teenager Martin lost one of his lungs and needed oxygen in the latter part of his life. During his 80th birthday, he fainted from his condition, but always in good humor, remarked “Boy, did I make an entrance!”

Dick passed away at 6:PM in a Santa Monica hospital surrounded by family, and will not be having a funeral, as per his request.

Hulk Hogan's family in car accident

Former wrestler Hulk Hogan and his family were reportedly involved in a car accident in Clearwater, Florida earlier today.

According to Tampa's CBS affiliate, WTSP, Hogan, his estranged wife Linda and their daughter Brooke were involved in a seven-car accident that shut down the northbound lanes of the Bayside Bridge.

Although no one was seriously hurt, the Hogan's white Mercedes was damaged and towed from the scene, WSTP reported.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, which occurred just before 4 p.m. The Bayside Bridge was shut down for 20 minutes and later re-opened.

This was not the first car accident for the Hogan family. Son Nick, 17, was recently sentenced to 8 months in Pinellas County jail after a November car accident - where he was reportedly street racing - critically injured his friend, John Graziano.

UPDATE: According to an official Florida Highway Patrol report, Brooke Hogan was actually at the wheel of the car, and the only other person in the car was a friend of hers.

The head-on collision occurred when 19-year-old Ronald Gallman lost control of his vehicle when attempting to change lanes. He hit Hogan's car, pushing it into a concrete wall barrier.

Both cars involved sustained approximately $3,000 worth of damage. So far no charges have been filed against either drivers.

'Harry Potter' actor killed

A teenager who played a minor character in the upcoming film, 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,' was fatally stabbed in a bar brawl in south London on Saturday.

According a statement from London's Metropolitan Police, the actor, 18-year-old Rob Knox, who plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in the sixth movie in the series, was caught in a fight around midnight outside the Metro Bar in Sidcup.

The fatality occurred just two weeks after another teen was killed only a few miles away.

Warner Brothers said it was shocked by the news.

"Rob was kind and thoughtful and would always help out others—he would always spend his last penny on other people instead of himself," Knox's parents, Sally and Colin, said in a statement Sunday.

"The life and soul of the party, he was very outgoing, loved sports, and would always strike up a conversation with people. He was respectful to others and adored by all his family and friends. He was (an) asset to the family."

Knox and four other teens were taken to various hospitals after the fight, according to police. One of them was a 21-year-old who was later arrested on suspicion of Knox's murder.

Police said that while the fight was probably not gang-related, there have been 14 violent teen deaths in London so far this year.

William Shatner talks about Star Trek and his memoir

William Shatner is best known as Captain James Tiberius Cook on Star Trek - but the Canadian actor wants people to know that there is more to him than that.

That's why he has written several memoirs and has a new one out called "Till Now," which is about his rise from a Canadian boy with a modest childhood to his current role, a self-spoofing Priceline.com spokesman.

Shatner spoke to Brian Braiker of Newsweek about the new Star Trek movie and a number of other topics.

He said that he has not been approached by J.J. Abrams, who is doing the bigscreen remake of Star Trek. "I know nothing," he said about the movie. "I had a meeting a couple times with J.J. Abrams, who actually came down one time to where we shoot "Boston Legal" to visit with me—and I don't know what it was about. He never called back, and I'm not in the movie. I'm disappointed."

He added that he is a little disappointed that he won't be in the movie.

"I would have liked to have been in the revival of Star Trek," he said. "More than that I'm fascinated by the business decision of not including that popular character and the actor who has a lot of popularity still, as opposed to anybody else in the cast who's either unknown or not in the public eye particularly."

The entire interview is available here.

Cristián de la Fuente has surgery

Dancing with the Stars finalist, actor Cristián de la Fuente, had successful surgery on his injured left arm Saturday, People reported.

"I was able to get a perfect repair of the bicep. Cristian will spend about a week in a splint, then start rehab," his surgeon, Dr. Elattrache, told People. "He will have a full recovery and full strength back" in three weeks.

The actor, who will star on USA Network's new series In Plain Sight, premiering June 1, also made a statement to People: "Thank you to everyone for their concern and well wishes."

On Dancing with the Stars April 21, de la Fuente was unable to dip his professional partner, Cheryl Burke, due to the injury. He was unable to perform their dance and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

According to People, he is recuperating at his Los Angeles home with his wife and daughter.

Parents try to sell baby on eBay

The parents of a 7-month-old baby boy were taken into custody in Germany after they posted an ad on eBay offering to sell their son for $1.60 (one euro).

Peter Hieber, a spokesman for the police, said the baby was placed with youth services in the southwestern Allgaeu, Germany area. He also said that on Saturday the mother said the ad was a joke, but the authorities have still begun an investigation regarding possible child trafficking.

The Internet ad was up for two hours and thirty minutes. No one made an offer, but several people alerted the police about the post, which eBay eventually deleted.

Victoria's Secret hits small screen again

CBS has announced that it will air the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show again this fall.

The holiday-themed runway show will reportedly be held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach resort. The legendary resort has been undergoing a massive, $1 billion renovation, and the show will be part of a grand reopening.

Models confirmed for the show so far are Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller and Miranda Kerr. The show will also feature musical performances, although they have yet to be revealed.

Ratings have declined since ABC first aired the controversial show in 2001. CBS has telecast it since 2002, despite FCC complaints about the scantily-clad models.

Lily Allen is mad at the paps

British singer Lily Allen has been photographed in less than flattering poses lately - and she recently wrote a MySpace blog post (coped and pasted verbatim), ranting about the paparazzi's work and invasion of her privacy.

"For the record I was not thrown off anybodys yacht in Cannes , occasionally I drink wine with lunch and yes i swim topless , this in my book is not embarrasing behaviour," she wrote. "I'm 23 years old it's not my fault if photographers follow me everywhere and need a story to print with their pointless pictures ."

" I wish digital cameras hadn't been invented ," she continued. "On the other hand digital pictures are easier to retouch , so i shouln't complain ."

Although Allen does have a point, the paparazzi may not find her as interesting of a subject if she kept her clothes on!

When your acting career is over...

...you can come out with a line of handbags like Mischa Barton!

Brilliant!

Her line of bags will be available in the UK starting July 2nd.

Her line is inspired by vintage things she's discovered during her travels. All the bags will have a hand drawn flower logo done by none other than Barton.

There are no pictures yet because Mischa wants to keep them a secret until they hit the stores. Guess she doesn't want us hating on them just yet

You think she has a saddlebag in the collection?

Victoria Beckham is coming back for more!

She's back!

Victoria Beckham is going back to Ugly Betty for a long term spot, according to U.K. Vogue.

Sources from on the set revealed that the producers are very happy that she is coming back.

The report didn't say how many episodes she will be in or when the episodes will come on -- but stay tuned and get excited!!!!!

Grey's Anatomy Season Finale

The Grey's Anatomy season finale was last night, and it looked like everyone paired up by the end of the two-hour episode.

Meredith and Derek finally got back together - sort of. McDreamy makes Meredith wait for him while he goes to break things off with Rose, but Mer will probably get cold feet. George and Lexie hook up by the end, and the chief reunites with his estranged wife. Alex learns Rebecca/Ava has a personality disorder, and despite his good intentions, he cannot care for her. Although Alex tries to sleep with Izzie for comfort, he ends up crying in her arms.

And finally, McSteamy backed away from Callie and Erica Hahn's burgeoning relationship, and by the end of the episode, Callie and Erica are passionately kissing.

Brooke Smith, who plays Hahn, said at the beginning of the season, she and creator and showrunner Shonda Rimes decided that her character would not be gay.

"Earlier this season, we felt it was too obvious that a strong, powerful woman would be a lesbian," Smith said. "In fact, Dr. Hahn decided she wasn't going to have a relationship at work, though clearly she came to the wrong hospital."

Also on Grey's Anatomy last night, the chief agrees to let George take the intern exam again, since George told him everyone else has gotten a second chance when they've made mistakes except for him. Bailey realizes she can't do everything, so she gives the clinic to Izzie - kind of a strange move, considering Izzie not only killed a man, but several episodes ago she also made a patient undergo a gazillion unnececssary tests so she could win the most points in a contest all the residents were having.

If you missed the episode, you can watch a stream of it on ABC.com.

Lilo & Sam Ronson get hot and heavy

(Photo from Egotastic. For more, click here)

Lindsay Lohan and her close friend, openly gay DJ Samantha Ronson, were spotted getting intimate in Cannes this week. Rumors that the pair were more than friends had been swirling around for months.

The two were attending Diddy's lavish yacht party when paparazzi snapped the pictures.

"They looked like proper lovebirds," a party guest said. "And they didn't care who saw them draped over each other. If they are together then it's a nice vision of their love."

However, Lohan's mom Dina has publicly denied a romantic relationship.

"Samantha's an amazing girl. They're best friends. They're just friends," she said. "It's so silly. We actually laugh about it now. It really does hurt... but you develop a thick skin. You have to ignore it."

In other Lohan news, the singer/actress reportedly turned down nightclub owner John Englebert's offer to settle the lawsuit against her regarding the fur coat she reportedly stole. Englebert also offered to buy her a mink coat.

Scarlett Johansson's latest interview

Scarlett Johansson spoke to Candace Jackson from the Wall Street Journal about her new album, "Anywhere I Lay My Head."

In response to why she decided to record an album,Johansson said: "The album came about because I did a track for my friend's [compilation] album, 'Unexpected Dreams,' to benefit an organization called Music Matters. The studio that distributed the album really liked my track and asked if I would be interested in recording a full album."

"I originally started acting as a kid because I wanted to do musical theater," Johansson added. "I always loved to sing and had always taken vocal lessons when I was a kid, and just thought of all of my friends who were struggling musicians would kill for this opportunity, so I couldn't really pass it up."

Johansson also compared filming a movie and recording her album.

"I've been making movies since I was eight, so I'm completely familiar with the industry and the process," she said. "Recording an album was a huge learning experience for me. I didn't know at all what to expect.

I think there's probably more similarities between acting and singing than differences, really," Johansson added. "It's still about drawing from your own personal experience and creating a character. All the artists I love, like Chet Baker or Bob Dylan or Tom Waits, all sort of built these characters, these journeys that you follow as a listener. It's similar to the way you build a character for a film."

You can check out the entire interview, as well as Johansson's responses to questions about Tom Waits and her new engagement to actor Ryan Reynolds.

Amy Winehouse Has a Haunted House

Amy Winehouse, the twenty-four-year-old drug addicted singer, fled her house last night claiming to be attacked by a poltergeist.

The ghost, whom Winehouse has dubbed Henry, is haunting her North London home. She believes that a child died in her spare room, and that its spirit is taking over the entire house.

The Grammy Award Winning artist is terrified of Henry and believes that the poltergeist has been trying to harm her: even claiming that he has been scratching her deep enough to leave marks on her arms. (Maybe she’s so high that she forgot they were track marks?)

Amy has not returned to rehab, but is, instead, temporarily staying at the Chelsea Harbour hotel. She is set to perform on the main stage at the Glastonbury festival June 28th.

David Cook wins American Idol

David Cook was the winner of American Idol this season, despite the judges' support of competitor David Archuleta.

According to Nielsen Media Research, nearly 32 million U.S. television viewers watched last night's results show, up 3 percent from last year's finale.

The two-hour broadcast was the second-most-watched episode of the reality show this season. Cook, 25, a bartender from Blue Springs, Mo., received 12 million more votes than 17-year-old Archuleta.

After the show, Cook said the win came as a surprise to him, as Archuleta seemed like the favorite to win.

"You know, the respect that I have for David Archuleta is very much past a competitor thing. He has more talent at his age than I know what to do with at 25. So, to be able to share the stage with him was an honor for me," Cook said. "And I went into Tuesday just to have fun, and so the fact that I walk out of here as the next American Idol is not a testament to me so much as it's a testament to the other 23 contestants we had this season, and to everybody behind the scenes.

Cook also spoke about his American Idol experience and his upcoming plans.

"I actually walked into this with no expectations and I'm walking out of it with no expectations. This show is a springboard, but it's still a crapshoot," he said. "I could easily walk out of this arena and be just a regular Joe tomorrow. I hope that's not the case. It's kind of up to everybody else."

But don't discount David Archuleta. The second-place finisher said he is relieved the competition is over, and that he is not taking the loss too hard.

"I just can't believe that I made it this far. I didn't even know I'd make it past the first round, for Pete's sake," he said.

Ashlee & Pete's People Cover

It should come as no surprise that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are on the cover of the new issue of People, particularly after the magazine worked out a more than one million dollar deal for exclusive rights to the wedding photos.

The cover features the first picture to be released of the couple at their wedding, plus insets of maid of honor Jessica Simpson and Wentz's bulldog.

Wentz was on KIIS-FM's "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" Tuesday morning, and he revealed the location of the couple's honeymoon - in the basement of their Los Angeles home. He refused to confirm pregnancy rumors, though.

"Ryan, this baby has not been confirmed," he said. "The only thing I'm confirming now is that we're in the basement on our honeymoon with these blow-up palm trees."

Jessica Alba weds in private, secret ceremony

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony Monday, the actress's rep, Brad Cafarelli confirmed.

A source said the couple wed in the Beverly Hills courthouse. The two applied for a marriage license around 11:30 Monday morning and, after waiting 40 minutes for the paperwork to be processed, made their way to the courthouse's ceremony room.

"She looked happy but nervous," the source said.

There were no guests present, and Alba's own family was surprised by the news.

"Jessica and Cash's ceremony surprised even good friends," a source close to the 27-year-old actress said. "She [used to feel] it would be okay to wait until after the baby was born to get married, but her traditional side must have really kicked in."

The source added that although the actual wedding was a surprise, Alba and Warren had been talking about marriage for over a year.

"Cash is a wonderful guy," the source added. "And she really does love him."

Alba and her 31-year-old new husband are expecting a daughter this summer.

Harrison Ford Waxes His Chest

Harrison Ford, star of the new Indiana Jones movie, waxed his chest today in support of rainforests. The actor went through with the painful procedure which simulated rainforest slashing and burning.

Ford sat in the hot seat while the cameras rolled and the wax poured on. The expression on his face looked the same as the torture scene in Temple of Doom. As the hair was being ripped from his torso he manged to utter a few words about the saving the rainforests.

"When rainforests get slashed and burned, it releases tonnes of carbon into the air we breathe. It changes our climate. It hurts," he says, grimacing as his chest is deforested.

"Every bit of rainforest that gets ripped out over there," he says, "really hurts us over here."

'N Sync Creater Sentenced to Jail

Boy Band creator Lou Pearlman was sentenced yesterday to 25 years in prison. The musical mogul apparently stole more than $300 million dollars from investors.
Federal Judge G. Kendall Sharp, in Orlando, Fla., told Pearlman he would reduce the jail time by one month for every $1 million Pearlman returned to the investors.
With creating money makers like 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys, you would think he was wealthy enough!?

Kristi wins DWTS

Olympic gold medal figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi won the Dancing with the Stars mirror-ball trophy last night, beating out NFL star Jason Taylor and actor Cristián de la Fuente.

"This is just the icing on the cake," Yamaguchi said about the win. "Honestly, from the bottom of my heart I want to thank all the fans out there and everyone involved...for making this a dream experience."

Yamaguchi was the first female winner in four seasons, since soap opera star Kelly Monaco won the inaugural season of Dancing with the Stars.

"This is definitely for all those women out there to continue to be strong," she said after the win.

Yamaguchi and her partner Mark Ballas were the judges' favorite, earning a perfect 90 out of 90 - a first in DWTS history - for the week.

"Obviously the fans are the deciding factor here," Yamaguchi said, "and I can't say enough to thank them."

The skater also won fans among her dancing peers.

"Kristi deserved it more than any other woman in any other season," said professional dancer Cheryl Burke, who partnered de la Fuente. "It's about time that a woman wins."

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said that Yamaguchi's athletic background helped her win, since athletes can channel criticism and turn it into results, and also noted that her personality emerged throughout the season.

"She was technically great and she was doing incredible choreography," Inaba said. "She was able to really develop her crowd-pleasing skills and that's what set her over the top."

Yamaguchi's competitors also credited her dancing. Taylor called her "just perfect," and de la Fuente said "it was impossible to beat her."

The skater said that while the win does not match her Olympic gold medal, it was still a "fun, amazing experience."

"It's not just this [trophy] but what it represents," she said. "It's all the hard work and the time spent together and the friendships made, challenging yourself and learning something new."

Exclusive! Indiana Jones &The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull Review

Check out a review of the film before it hits theaters on May 22nd!

{Insert Indiana Jones anthem here!} Get ready, Dr. Jones fans! The newest summer blockbuster hitting theaters does not disappoint – packed with cryptic code-breaking, mythical quests and yes even, snakes! PCM got a sneak peak at the latest film from George Lucas & Steven Spielberg. You guessed it! Grab your fedoras and whips and read the exclusive review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Old meets new in this thrilling installment of Indiana Jones movies. Dr. Jones (Harrison Ford) is back escaping villains, swinging through jungles and cheating death as he treks through Peru with a handful of new faces. Newcomer Shia LaBeouf (Mutt Williams) is a great addition to the film. He’s sure to attract younger audiences who may not be as familiar with the older Indiana Jones movies. His charming and adventurous character is loveable and LaBeouf acts very well off Ford. In between all the action, the pair even offers a few comedic spats that break up the explosions and high-speed chases. And perhaps even LaBeouf will keep the journey going and turn into the new star of future films.

He’s definitely a different Jones then one may remember (older?!), yet Ford still looks great in his old hat and getup. He hopped right back into character and kept me entertained! Diehard fans will be satisfied as many references (and characters) are made from the older films. All of Indy’s old tricks are still likely to leave stunned audiences asking, “How did he get out of that jam?!”

It’s worth a trip to the theaters. The adventure and wild stunts are likely to keep male adrenaline soaring while Ford, and even LaBeouf, ooze enough good looks and swagger to keep the women in the audience giddy. The villains and storyline get pretty extreme but if you’re there to enjoy it and go with it, you won’t be left discontented. One thing is for sure, you’ll have the Indiana Jones theme song stuck in your head for a few hours after viewing this flick!

Mariah plans $4 million wedding

Mariah Carey is planning an extravagant second wedding to her new husband, actor Nick Cannon. The two privately wed in a small ceremony in the Bahamas April 30.

"It's going to be held in New York City in the next six weeks. Picture a wedding on the scale of Liza Minnelli's [to David Gest], and you'll be on the right track," a source said to MSNBC's Scoop.

"She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she'll have at least 14 bridesmaids," the source added.

The chart-topping songstress also recently told Ellen DeGeneres that she and Nick plan to have an annual celebration of their nuptials.

Rumors have speculated there was no prenuptial agreement in place for the initial wedding, but Carey told a friend: "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!"

In related news, the diva's music allegedly was the cause of a road rage incident today.

Twenty-year-old Zachary Alan Schreiber of Florida was reportedly driving down a busy street with Mariah Carey's CD blaring when a passenger in another car, William Greenman, 22, started a war of words about Schreiber's choice in music.

According to NBC News, Schreiber then threw a beer bottle at Greenman while both cars were stopped at a stoplight.

Although the bottle missed Greenman, it did hit the driver, 21-year-old Christine Bec, in the head.

Schreiber was arrested at the scene and charged with criminal mischief and shooting a missile into a vehicle.

Slaying on Television to Resume Tonight

Last week's twist ending to CSI: in which Gary Dourdan's character, Warrick Brown, takes two bullets to the neck begins the time of season finales, which for many characters may be more permanent than a summer vacation.

Tonight viewers can expect at least two people getting the ax with the finales of American Idol and NCIS. American Idol is down to its two final contestants. One will perish and the other will be crowned American Idol.

CBS continues the "finale killings" with a two-hours of NCIS, in which a major series regular will perish. One of the producers is quoted saying that the death will make fans "throw things at the screen." This is the second major death since Sasha Alexander's character Sp. Agent Caitlin Todd died at the end of season two. So far two deaths have occurred in the CBS primetime line-up and maybe more will follow.

Previews for Criminal Minds among other CBS programs depict possible murders of the main characters. CBS has announced 6 new series for the fall 2008 season, but they have lost a fan base from their stronger shows with these "finale slayings." With American Idol we're expecting the contestants to get voted off not Simon.

Is JT proposing?

Reports have speculated that Justin Timberlake is preparing to propose to Jessica Biel.

"Justin is 27 and thinking about marriage and kids. For the first time in his life he is feeling settled and has definitely decided to pop the question to Jessica," a source told The Sun. "He is so happy with her. They spent quite a bit of time apart recently when Justin was working with Madonna. That made him certain Jessica was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with."

The proposal rumors come amidst other speculation that 26-year-old Biel is pregnant. A source close to the couple said that actress is abstaining from alcohol.

The Sun is also reporting that Timberlake is considering marrying on the privately-owned West Indian island of Mustique so that the couple and their guests can avoid the media and paparazzi attention.

"Although Justin has lived his whole life in the public eye, he feels his wedding is the one day that should remain private," the source told the paper. "To get all his close friends and family to Mustique will cost a fortune. But he can't put a price on how he feels about Jessica."

Beyoncé under fire for ads

Beyoncé Knowles is under fire for an ad campaign for a kids collection of her House of Deréon clothing line. Fox News discussed the ads and the message they send to children.

"A lot of parents have been noticing for many, many years now that there has been increasing 'pornification' of advertising, clothing lines," said Fox News contributer Michelle Malkin. "What makes this example particularly odious... is that you have someone who has... postured as a role model for young women, and the fact that her mother is involved in it as well.

The entire report is available below.

Katie Holmes hits the stage

Katie Holmes has signed on for her Broadway debut in a fall revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons. Her costars are John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.

A rep for the actress had told E! News in March that the actress was in negotiations for the role.

Although a place and a premiere date have yet to be established, Holmes will reportedly be on stage six days a week in the World War II tale, based on a true story. Directed by Simon McBurney, All My Sons is about the aftermath for a family whose patriach was involved in black-market business dealings.

It is Holmes' first play since high school, and already the move is being compared to Nicole Kidman's well-received Broadway debut 10 years ago, when she was still married to Tom Cruise.

Lilo sued over fur coat

Masha Markova has sued Lindsay Lohan over stealing her $12,000 golden sheared mink coat in January, the Associated Press reported. The 22-year-old New York college student and the soon-to-be 22-year-old actress were at the New York City nightclub 1Oak when the alleged theft occurred, according to papers filed in Manhattan's state Supreme Court.

Markova said she saw Lohan wearing the coat in a magazine photo. "It was my coat. It was no doubt," she told the New York Post. The club reportedly returned the coat to her in February.

Lohan's rep did not reply to queries about the lawsuit, but she did supported her in the past when Lohan was accused of stealing clothes from 23-year-old model Lauren Hastings' closet.

"This is not true. It's not what it seems," the rep for the actress said.

At the time, Inside Edition reported that Hastings filed a suit but the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office declined to prosecute the actress due to insufficient evidence.

Are Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo still together?

Despite rumors that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo broke up, the two spent the weekend of Ashlee Simpson's wedding together, looking very much like a couple.

The two reportedly went on a sushi run in L.A. Friday, and later the NFL-star attended the rehearsal dinner, held at maid of honor Jessica Simpson's Beverly Hills home.

"They were very cozy and cute together," a source said in response to Internet rumors that Jessica Simpson was devestated by her ex-boyfriend John Mayer's new relationship with Jennifer Aniston. "She's definitely not mourning John Mayer! She was in an amazing mood and so happy her sister was getting married."

The source also said Romo stayed close to his girlfriend (?) at Saturday's wedding and reception.

"They were kissing and holding hands throughout the night," the insider said. "He was very sweet to her. They were very much a couple."

Recent evidence seems to disprove Internet reports the last few weeks, where friends of Romo said the two had split. In addition, Simpson's rep said the rumors were "not true."

Kenny Chesney was the big winner at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday night. The 40-year-old singer took home the entertainer of the year award at the Las Vegas Ceremony.

"This one is really extra special because long before I had a hit

Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz tie the knot

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz tied the knot in an intimate ceremony Saturday evening, their spokesperson told People.

The couple wed at the Encino home of the bride's parents, sources told E! News.

"We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends," the spokesperson said.

Simpson's father, Joe, performed the nondenominational 7 p.m. service. Among the 150 guests were the bride's sister and maid of honor Jessica, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden and Wentz's Fall Out Boy bandmates. Jessica Simpson took Tony Romo, although reports have stated that the two broke up.

The ring-bearer was Wentz's English bulldog, Hemingway.

The bride wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and Neil Lane jewelry, while the bridal party was dressed in Vera Wang.

A source told E! News that the wedding had a "goth-like" motif; many of the guests wore "black or very dark" clothing and female guests painted their nails black, resulting in a "very unwedding like" themed affair.

The reception reportedly had an Alice in Wonderland theme.

According to E! Online, guests parked in a nearby parking garage and were shuttled to the Simpson family home. Although large tents blocked the view, security was tight as helicopters with paparazzi flew above the compound.

The wedding festivities began on Thursday with bachelor and bachelorette parties, and on Friday there was a rehearsal dinner at Jessica Simpson's home.

It is the first marriage for both Simpson and Wentz, who are also expecting their first child, according to sources who spoke to E! News.

More from the Pepsi Free Concert Series on DeepRockDrive.com

More Ashlee Simpson wedding news

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have reportedly made a deal with People, giving the magazine rights to the wedding photos for well over a million dollars.

"We're thrilled that celebrities continue to choose People as the place for their most intimate photos," a rep from the magazine said. "We do not comment on specifics of any deals."

According to E!, Tina Simpson threw a bachelorette bash for her youngest daughter last night. A source said the "mellow" party lasted a few hours, ending before midnight. Only about a dozen friends attended the affair at Joe and Tina Simpson's Encino home.

Meanwhile, Joe Simpson took his future son-in-law and a few of Wentz's friends to Beverly Hills hot spot Mr. Chow for a two-hour bachelor dinner.

In other wedding news, there are differing reports about whether or not Tony Romo will be in attendance. Reps for Jessica Simpson and Romo continue to deny break-up rumors about the couple.

However, a friend of the couple said the two are in different places in their lives. Jessica Simpson, who has already been married and divorced, has reportedly been putting pressure on Romo to wed.

"Jessica has made no secret of the fact she wants to get married, and with all the Ashlee wedding talk and Jess' dad's involvement, Tony was obviously feeling it," a source said. "I wouldn't be surprised if he just couldn’t go through with the proposal and that's what's caused the break."

However, the Chicago Sun-Times said Simpson's dad is to blame and offered "unsolicited advice to Tony on his career, endorsement opportunities and things that have nothing to do with him dating Jessica."

Matthew McConaughey makes deal for baby pics

Matthew McConaughey and his fiancée Camila Alves are all set for the baby, and they reportedly even hired "brand agent" Todd Shemarya to help them sell their baby pics.

Shemarya has brokered deals for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, among other celebrities.

So far the couple has fielded deals from three different publications, each offering over a million dollars, according to website TMZ.

McConaughey, 38, has also reportedly expressed a desire to be a "stay at home dad."

"Matt joked if he wasn't careful he will wake up bald and old and having missed out on years of his kid's life that he couldn't get back," a friend of the couple said. "He's intent on being there for his kid the way his parents were for him."

In other McConaughey news, deodorant company AXE sent the actor, who "never uses deodorant," a year's supply of pocket-sized body spray.

"We know that you already have a stunning girl in Camila Alves. But in a survey we recently conducted, nearly nine out of 10 girls (89 per cent) told us that they would turn down a guy because he smelled bad - no matter how in-shape or successful he is," a letter from the company said.

"We read that you 'never use deodorant' and we sure want you to keep Camila around, so we've enclosed a one year supply of the new AXE Bullet, the first pocket-sized deodorant body spray for guys," it said. "We know that you're always on-the-go and like to travel light, so this handy little gadget should fit perfectly into your active lifestyle!"

Ellen & Portia are getting hitched!

After Califoria's Supreme Court struck down the ban on gay marriage, Ellen DeGeneres announced to her live studio audience that she and long-time girlfriend Portia De Rossi are getting hitched.

"I'm very excited," she told the crowd, who gave her a standing ovation.

The two have been dating since December 2004 and DeGeneres, 50, said the key to her relationship with her 35-year-old girlfriend is their ability to learn from each other.

"She's taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I've taught her," the host of the Ellen DeGeneres Show said. "We've both changed and grown, and we just feel like, 'Oh, okay, this is completion.'"

Ellen also spoke to the The Advocate about her decision to wed.

"I'm thrilled that the California Supreme Court overturned the ban on gay marriage," she told the magazine. "I can't wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday... not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote."

The episode will air today, a day after DeGeneres made her announcement.

Perez Hilton Loves Prima J and You Will Too!

"They're young. They're cute. They co-write their own songs. And, they can actually sing! The duo's new single, Corazon (You're Not Alone) is nothing but sweet pop music. In its purest form." - Perez Hilton

The name of their debut single may be “Rock Star,” but the two cousins that make up Prima J are everything but. In fact, Jessica and Janelle Martinez are so down-to-earth, it seems just as odd that their song is the lead track from the Bratz™ Motion Picture Soundtrack (released by Geffen Records July 31st, with the movie following August 3). Far from precocious and everything but bratty, the pair are actually a real-life version of the comradery and competitive edge captured in the movie.

Their recent discovery and success aside, Jessica and Janelle still can’t believe that they’ve not only signed a record deal and are currently finishing their debut album for release later this year, but are also appearing in what is expected to be one of the summer’s cinema hits and have recorded an infectious single destined to help make the soundtrack a smash. “None of this has hit either of us yet,” says Janelle, 18. “I feel like I’m dreaming and someone needs to wake me up. It’s one thing to record a song and a video, but it’s another thing to hear it on the radio or see it on TV. That’s where it’ll really hit me…”

As Mexican-Americans, they hope to be role models to both American and Latin girls, as they consider themselves the face of the new Hispanic in
America, part of an emerging generation that “speaks English and lives Latin.” They even go so far as to affectionately refer to each other as “chilosa,” a made-up word that they feel defines Prima-J: two sassy, classy, spicy and feisty girls. They may be the girls next door, but they’re also fun and fearless, with an independent spirit and deep sense of inner

“We want to have a good time, but we also want to send a message to younger people and be idols for American and the Latin community,” sums Janelle. “Too many people don’t know that if they set their mind to it, they can accomplish anything, just like we have.”
